Exactly! Seeing as drilling through metal doesn't create any heat at all, and there isn't the possibility of a spark setting off the bullet. :screwy:

prolly would look better, but all my bullets are soft points, so they have exposed lead on the bullets, and I don't want that rubbing against me. Dad (his guns) doesn't use full metal jackets because there is a risk the bullet can pass through the animal he's shooting and has the potential to hit someone. He was using Ballistic rounds, but he ran out.

does cordite ignite from heat? even though the bullet would just drop out after the cordite ignited, it no one wants to take the chances of the bullet hitting someone, and I don't know how to remove the bullet from the shell safely.

oh, and mythbusters did a episode on bullets in the oven, the shell moved instead of the bullet.

You mean to tell me that there is absolutely no risk, whatsoever, in drilling into a live round?

well, I'm gunna make some barbed wire out of the wire I mentioned earlier. I think I'll just put one shell on though.

I just assumed Liam was an avid shooter and would simply know how to remove the bullet from the casing to dump out the powder and primer before drilling. That way he could just replace bullet and then, viola, an entire round as a necklace instead of a casing.

How does the saying go? Sometimes its better to be thought of a fool then to speak and remove all doubt. :)
