I made the jump from iPhone to Andriod!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
this is my first apple product ever

I was very irritated with all the accounts I had to create. icloud, itune, apple id. what in the hell man!?

I never cared for portable music. I don't even know what iTunes really does. something about music.

They're all the same account, I've never created separate anything from the time i bought my first iPod in like 05

Yes itune is for plugging into your computer and syncing/transporting everything. Early iPods didnt have screens so thats where you uploaded music and transfer to your iPod. iCloud is just so you can access everything from diff devices, just a save location like creating a file on your computer. Apple ID and itune account are the same thing.

I wanna get the ipod touch for my kids. they're young so it's just strictly for them to play games and watch youtube.

from searching amazon, discontinued 2nd gen (8G) are still like $190, 4th gen (16G) discontinued are $230 and new 5th gen (16G) are only $217.

why are the price gaps so small? and why is the 4th gen more expensive than the 5th gen?

The 4th gen shouldnt be unless its really a 32G

You should scratch the idea and get the ipad anyways

I have a iPhone 5s for work and HTC one for personal. I upgraded earlier this year from an iPhone 4 and galaxy s3. I like my HTC one better so far it has the best quality build imo it doesn't feel like a toy and has great sound. I hate Apple. I hate iTunes and all cloud storage. I'm with sumo on the annoyance of Apple. That's my .02

I just got a galaxy s5 a few weeks ago and love it. I dropped it once before my case came in and nothing happened to the phone, its fine. Its in a case with a screen protector now and works great. I love the fingerprint scanner over a password. The phone is nice, easy to use and customize. The camera is decent. I like the bigger screen and its still slim and easy to keep in my pocket. Its a great phone so far. I can't compare it to an iphone b/c I never owned one and never will. My mom had to many issues with hers and I wasn't fond of it when I played with it. She plans to switch to something non-apple when she upgrades.

As for the phone in the water, you are brave. I thought the phone was water resistant but not waterproof? o_o

As said earlier the only thing I am not sure I like is how much it knows. I signed in with gmail and thats it and I don't have personal info on my gmail (I didn't even put my full last name when I signed up). I don't have the fb app. It somehow knows a lot. It gives me updates on how long my drive to work will be or my drive home from orlando when I visit will be and I don't even know how it figured out where I live. I like like the program because it tells me if there is accidents and stuff but its kinda weird that it knows a lot about me.

the 4th gen I saw was only 16G, that's what confused me. and I think the 32G is only like $20 more

but anyways, I meant that I want to get each of them their own ipod touch. i'm not gonna get one ipad for them to share, are you crazy man? you've obviously never had more than one kid. they're at that age where sharing is not in their vocab. they don't know/refuse to know the concept

I want to get each their own. and I want to get decent quality stuff. I made that mistake with cheap tablets. I bought 4 lower quality tablets and they are now all busted. good thing my wife's brother paid for them
