the downfall to the black sand is it's lighter than PFS. My old Zo, and Texas both would dig, and spit it near my filter intake. 2 Filters have been broken due to my stent with black sand. If you have differ try a Pre Filter Sponge.

I took this 16.4 roll and cut it into 3 strips(you have to also buy any angle connections)and mounted on top of my 125 gal and i use this with and w out my normal fluoresent lighting. You have so many options of colors, it is awesome.

Thanks, I am thinkin I may have made a mistake with the sand, all their poop floats on top and they stir it up every time they get moving around , where with the gravel it settles down in, I may have to go with black gravel.
