Its not a Cites issue but a US law the endangered species act (lacy act).And no one is out counting them in the wild-Anne
 
Its lame that they are banned even if they are breed in a pond just for selling them to ppl that have it as a hobby. As long as they are not Wild caught i dont see the prob. Why dont they try to put like every ten fish they breed back to the wild so the population can grow back?? But its all about the money again =(
