I need a faster better way to do WC

I got an oiless pond pump at freight harbor tools. Looks very similar to the first picture. works great.

I use a marineland maxijet 1200, a length of vinyl tubing, and a fitting to connect it to a garden hose. Drains very quickly provided the hose output is lower than the tank. Cost less than a python.

Hard to find larger hose. I use two hose to double the speed of draining the tank
1.25" Sump pump hose at Lowes and Home Depot. I think they're about $12 for 25' section

Don't do water changes. just drip fresh water continuously, all day, everyday. ATO.

The lower you can drain your hose the faster it will drain, which is why my DIY python has a run of tubing which goes from the sink down to the tub.

I've got a system worked out now, I drain my 90g with a 400gph pond pump which goes to the kitchen sink.

I drain my 40b planted tank to the bathtub with my python.

I'm thinking of putting a tee and ballvalve on the fluval 406 that's on my oscar tank so I can use the canister to pump water out of a window that's 2ft away from the tank. Flip the valves back and its pumping water in a loop in the tank the way it should be

If I time everything out I can drain them all basically at the same time and refill them with the water changer and prime, one after the other - I can get the temperature right at the sink just one time, and just flip the valve on the water changer in the faucet to siphon mode, then move it from tank to tank - flip it back to fill mode, and never turn off the sink.

I did something similar to what some folks suggested. I provided a link to get a visual of what it ended up looking like. When I was planning the tank I also figured siphoning would take too long if I wanted to do a larger water change, so I ended up adding a hose connection to my closed loop circulation with the hard plumping. What I do is close off the ball valves on both closed loop returns, then open the ball valve on the hose connection. I use my existing closed loop pump to pump out the water. I was lucky in that I have a window next to the tank so the it's easy access to the hose that I keep near by. Sounds like you already have an established set-up but something to think about if you're up for some changes or future plans.

I have my python hooked up to a mag 7 utility pump. I have attached a 3/4" PVC "u" to go up over into the toilet. You could drain faster if the hose is bigger than the 1/2" python hose.

Unplug, flip the valve, hook up to sink and refill.
