I need a positive ID please

The first link denies me access, but I do see it in the second link. It's faint, but it's there. I had only seen that on certain Aequidens before, but after seeing that pic ... I'd lean towards a port as well, just not sure which one. The pretty ones aren't colored up at that size yet.

beantickler - If you can get a pic of the anal fin extended, without the other fins in the way, we can count the anal fin rays and narrow down which species it could be.
 
I definitely think it's one of the port varieties. This is what my ports looked like when they were young.
 
Excellent photos. Definitely a port, not sure of the species. They are quite difficult to tell apart. You can try posting them over on cichlidae.com.
As for the notch in the dorsal fin, the notch I see is in between the spines and should be able to regenerate but if you say you've noticed new growth in the weeks you've had it it's completely possible that it will not grow back.
