Deffinately Gymnogeophagus ... I couldn't tell you which one though, lots of species that look alike, and dozens of color forms for each one. The lines arranged in perfect rows is supposedly the give away for the genus versus a brazilienus (not sure how this really holds up IRL though).

Same family, but requires a several month cool down period (which is why I have never gotten into them) so don't mix well with geo's and satanoperca, only for that reason though. Personality wise it will.
 
They'll do fine in 78 degree waters, it just shortens their lifespan by a couple years...

Ideaelly you want to keep them at 65 degree's or so 3 months otu of the year.
 
I agree that it's in the Gymnogeophagus rhabdotus group. Which contains several different fish right now.

And I also agree with them requiring a cool down period of 2-3 months in the 60's.
