I Need Better Filtration! Please Help!

I would also go with a cascade300 I have one and works great moves more than 300gph. I would recommend changing out the media that it comes with.
went down to the lfs were s friend of mine works, he gave me the cascade and some feeders for $25. best friend ive ever made 
ya the cascade 300, and just some small guppies. Another question, tomorrow im doing 100% water change, taking out the rocks, putting on the new filter, ect. How long should i let the water cycle before i put the fish back in?
EDIT: i think im also going to run the aqautech filter along with the cascade till the filter pads run out for it (i have 6 left it takes 2 at a time). Just letting you know for the cycle time

Um is this a new tank. It kind of sounds like a uncycled tank that is going thru the normal steps of becomeing mature. And if it is cycled then the better filtration is a fantastic idea. As for the 100% water change, I do not see why you would want to do this. If you are just redoing the tank then do a 75% that way you still have some healthy water to keep the bacteria in the substrate living and you can do the work. what ever you choose you should not have to wait reintroduce the fish. Basically do a 75% and leave them in there home. Add your dechlor and fill it back up with your hose. And call it a day.
I was going to take out all the rocks and just put in a piece of wood and some plastic plants, leaving it bare bottom. The reason i wanted to do 100% was to give fresh clean water because the water in there now is very dirty. Im a little ashamed of myself for waiting this long to read up on better filtration for my size tank and fish. so like i said i mostly wanted to do 100% so i could get rid of all that dirty water and make it easier to remove the rocks and give it a detailed cleaning. There are also some very tough water spot stains that i can remove if i did 100%
