I'd go with 2 aswell, 3 looks good aswell if that'll work for you. Rays are messy and the more water there is, the more diluted the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate will get making it less likely for ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate spikes to happen
FestaeDan yes you are correct more gallons would help dilute the ammonia but due to it being on the second floor I don't want to add too much weight...
I also forgot I have a carbon drip of 72 gph on the current tank right now which I will be moving to the new set up
Will also have 2 fx6 and a 50 gallon wet dry
I have clear vinyl plastic which I will be at ranching to a wood frame for the lid giving me a view of the fish without the humidity issues in the winter. During summer I will keep the top off with both Windows open in the room
I'll be ordering #2.... my guess is 2 weeks or so for delivery..... I will take pics and post them with my opinion....hopefully if all goes well more ray keepers can invest in these containment trays .....they are a cheaper yet sturdy tank where we can get the nice footprint we want and can fit thru doorways lol
Cost of #2 is $482 delivered which I believe isn't bad.....they charge by pallet so if I got more it would be even cheaper
In a couple years my plan is to get the 600/720 gallon pentair fiberglass tank with viewing window and turn this into a separation tank......
