I dont want to call myself an expert so I will probably be wrong but thet fish looks exactly like my nigerian lap, looking at shape and marking on fins. Too bad its so pale but also the few stripes you barely can see looks lap.

Looking at your bichir's head shape,number of dorsal finlets(I counted 14 dorsal spines/dorsal finlets-PBB's have 14 to 18 dorsal finlets)and the number 7 marking at the gill operculum of your bichir I would definitely say it is a PBB.
