I need help....tank leaked completely out

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
At least the rays are not huge so a 55g, if you can handle the ammonia, should hold you for a couple days. Do you know any other local ray keepers real well? Might be worth trying to find someone to babysit the rays to get them into good / stable water conditions.

I was thinking about that. I didnt want to impose on anyone but now that the tank cant be used, i may have to. And of course let the guy buying the tank know that he cant now. ...but if u think they will be okay. For a day or so, i can probably find a tank by then.

Alot of it will depend on the new tank parameters, if you can keep the water conditions in good shape then I think they will be alright in there for a couple days to a week.

Hope everything ends up good in the end.

really sorry to hear all this, thats terrible. i hope everything pulls through maybe in the morning for you when more mfkers from you area are on you could try get help storing you fish with them or atleast get a hand from someone. but that big tub idea you said saunds good as a temporary home if you keep all your mature media etc.

I am a third shifter that has lots of down time at work, as a result I am on the forums :-)

Keep us updated and we are all hoping for the best!

I will definitely do that. I'm thankful for you. I just put the rays in. The arowana was dead when I got back from walmart. Hopefully the rays will be okay until I can change setups again. Thanks again guys...Now I will attempt to get some sort of rest before work.

Stresscoat removes chlorine and chlorimines. I use it and our city uses chlorimines. My aro was in bad shape during our move kept flipping upside down and swimming erratic. After getting the tank set back up, I put him in the air bubbles and he came out of it in about 30 min.

Sorry to hear about your tank. Be sure to add cycle to the 55 and watch it closely. Depending on how long the filters were off, the beneficial bacteria could have died off which would add to the bioload of the tank and raise your ammonia levels that much more.
