I need help with this "Blood Parrot"

I just bought 2 little fish that were labeled as Blood Parrots at Petco. They're about an inch long and aren't very colorful, but that's understandible isnce they're so small. The thing that gets me is that they had these convict-looking bars when they were in the bag, but it's hard to see the bars now that they're in the tank.
I don't know if I'm overreacting and all baby BPs look like this or if they are really BP x Convicts.
Does anybody have pics of baby BPs and BP/Convict hybrids?

more then likely just juvi blood parrots. most juvi new world cichlids show bars and spots. with blood parrots this will fade out to a yellow-red color. at this point you should see no bars anymore.

No pics but I am pretty sure until they peel and get their adult colors they have bars, If I remember right mine had them faintly when I first got her, lots of dark black and brown colors too, but as she aged she has gone bright orange/reddish/and pink.
Man I take too long to right somtimes.

Ok, I'll grow them out a little bit and see what they are. They both have spots on the back end of them, so I'm hoping they are just regular BPs.
Oh, and does anyone know where I can find a pic of a juvi BP?

Yeah, google was the first place I looked, but I could only find full-grown BPs. I finally found pics of juvies on a website called Bloodparrots.co.uk.
The juvie BPs on there looked like mine, so I guess I have no worries! Now I'm excited to see what color they turn out to be!

This is not my BP, but mine look very similar. This next pic shows the juvie BP after he grew up a bit. Oh, and it's the one on the left.

Real quick question. What does peeling mean? Is that when their adult colors start coming through? Or do they actually peel?

i have tried as well. it is not easy to google for baby red parrot pics...
