I inherited these fish with a tank I bought today. I started a thread in general aquaria but I thought I would get more response here. I know the red ones are Red Devils but can you tell male or female? What kind of knife is it? What is the little green faced fish? Will these fish do ok in a 55 gal for tonight as the tank I bought was a filthy mess. I have never messed with any of these types of fish and any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!

My god that GT must be a fast mover to be in that tank!

Only one I can id is the 'little green-faced one' and it appears to be a gold saum. Really nice looking gillplate though!

Male RD (one with lump), female RD, Green terror (green face) silver dollar (round fat silver fish) Brown knife (asian knife i belive)....all thos fish need to be in a bigger tank, the red devil male already has HITH..........

I know they need to be in a bigger tank. I will be actively trying to find them new homes starting tomorrow. I just didn't know what I have. I can't put on craigslist---big fish!

By the way there are 2 with humps. Are they both male?

Yeh sorry i phrased that wrong lol, i just ment u need to find them a bigger home asap, im surprise the knife, GT and SD lasted so long with a male and female RD :S....the GT and silver dollar would do ok in that tank maybe for life, if its male needs a 75gal min...a femal would be fine...cant tell tho from the pic, looks male to me...he will be fine in that tank with the SD for a year or so...hope this helps...

As soon as I get the 110 that I got today cleaned I will move them over until I find them new homes. I need to know if I need to set up a 30 gal for tonight to put the other fish in except the RD. By the way can you tell which are male/female of the RD.

If its just for tonight, make sure they have plenty of filtration and oxygen, if you bought them in that tank, chances are they will be used to the tank so they should be fine, the male RD has the massive lump on his head, and the female doesnt...the 110 will be great for them all, twice as much room, twice as much fun, twice as much clean water :D :D

O yeh there are two male RDs :o thats shocking...how that tank is still mellow i would love to know lol
