Lets not freak out :WHOA: How else would you presume to get the cycle going....little tough w/out the fish Chap.... If its a 55, whooptie...two to start isn't squat.

The cycle is pretty much coming round the bend in two weeks pal, but they are right in the fact of.... Test your water and get a decent size water change done ASAP....you don't have to put down a bowl of icecream or anything but if you're watching this screen or the boob tube, hop to it. Slam one new cartridge/carbon and that'll ease things a bit while all the bacteria is catching up in the cycle.

P.S. They aren't messy feeders unless you're feeding them too much at once and it's blowing excessivly out of the gill plates ;)

Does no one read the old posts? We have talked many times about how to cycle a tank without hurting the "good"fish and without useing cheap fish.

Way#1 use marinelands bio-spira...... a little on the expesive side but it works well.

Way#2 use seachems stabiliy.... a lot more cost effective but it also works well and has a 4 year shelf life.

I hope this helps... if it is new tank syndrome you will need to move the fish into a container and drain the tank down as far as you can and then add new water, condition it and then add the product of your choice

Both of these work well and I have used both of them.

well im sorry to inform you but my green terror has passed away as of this morning, i am currently doing a water change. Its a 125g tank with 2 Fluval 404's on it, i have some aquarium salt in the tank as that was one of the first things i put in.

Sucks to hear that your terror succumbed, I say buy about 2-4 dozen feeders an use them to get the tank cycled. I got my 120 cycled in bout 2-3 weeks, an havent had any problems with the rest of the fish I added. Plus if you get anything that likes feeders you can start a small feeder tank with what you used to cycle the tank.

:WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA: :jaw-dropp

NEVER USE FEEDERS TO CYCLE YOUR TANK UNLESS YOU HAVE RAISED THEM YOURSELF AND YOU KNOW THAT THEY ARE DISEASE FREE!!!!!!

Especially in your case where your tank already has a big problem. The introduction of diseased feeders into the tank right now can cause major problems down the road for any of your cichlids.

If you need a fish that works spend a little more money and get danios for 75 cents a fish. Get 10 of them and they will help cycle your tank prety quickly.
