whats wrong with the chain pikerel? i think the others get too small, a 12 inch fish skinny fish would easily get munched by a 30 inch aro . lokked at the aussie site, love the Long Tom, have a feeling there a liitle hard to come by tho

Why don't I suggest a chain pickerel? Here are a few reasons.

A chain pickerel would seriously overstock that tank, in fact...looking back at what size tank you are going to use I think you would be overstocked without any pickerel at all.

the dimensions are 60" long x 30" wide x 25" tall. it will be filtered by 2 renastar XP4s, im trying to avoid overstocking as much as possible, but i think my filtraton can handle it.............

not to mention, many esteemed fish keepers on this site have many more fish in a either slightly smaller or slightly larger tank, but mabe mine would be overstocked, but theres no way to really tell how it would look without acctually doing it. so i think ive settled on the following stocklist:

AFRICA:
1 Polypterus Ornatipinnis (Ornate Bichir)
1 Polypterus Weeksii (Weeksii Bichir)

SOUTH AMERICA:
1 Osteoglossum Ferrerai (Black Arowana)

EURASIA:
1 Datnioides pulcher (Widebar Datniod)

AUSTRALIA:
1 Megalops cyprinoides (Indo-Pacific Tarpon)

NORTH AMERICA:
1 Esox Niger (Chain Pickerel)
