Quite common to see pieces like this actually (animal or not) for runway, exotic exhibits, couture, etc. Pieces made from wire mesh, or similar structures with either nylon or human hair sewn, glued and steam pressed onto forms, then sprayed with heavy sealants to keep them frizz free, and shiny, then either worn like a headband, braided/sewn/glued into one's natural hair, or pinned into their hair. Have worn some crazy ones before, no animals, but crazy couture pieces for spreads. They are not comfortable at all and most are actually pretty heavy and awkward. Those are nicely made and realistically designed. Animals are easily identifiable. I like them.

That is a part of my life (modeling) that I happily have placed on the back burner and managed to horde and lock up most the pictures of me. LOL
That's actually pretty cool though I wouldn't want to be seen in public with my spouse like that.The Lion and Bear are my favourites.
