It's a rtcxtsn not a spotted leopard cat. RTC are known to shed their skin if water conditions are bad. It dosent necessarily mean ammonia burn it just means that there is something about your water that he isn't comfortable with. Try doing waterchanges. This happens sometimes with RTC it's nothing to really worry about too badly. Just do some water changes.

I would do a 50% water change right off the bat.

I kno its a hybrid but they sell them as lepord spotted cats at my lfs

Maybe its the water temp I keep it between 81 83 I read they like 70-76

I saw a video on here a few weeks ago, somebody posted of their catfish shedding its skin. They said it was totally normal, happened every couple weeks or so. Looked pretty bad, but they said lots a catfish do it. looked like sheets of cloudy slime coming off, catfish was shaking it off, like a dog.
