Go Black on Black.. trust me... everything pops off a black bkgnd. Green Plants especially. If you need a blue tone, just wait for the Blue-green algae to set in!

Lol I have done black on black most things do pop but I also had a tank with a dark blue background and that made everything pop even more! But it was a dark navy blue. Not the typical royal blue you see at fish stores.
