thanks i need species names
SEARCH FUNCTION LIKE PEOPLE ARE TELLING YOU. first of all your tank is WAY to small for those poor LMB that you took out of the wild and stuffed into that tiny tank, please let them go and get fish that will fit in your tank. and NO SPECIES of ray can live in a 55g, you were already told that hystrix rays are the smallest ones but they still get way too big for a 55g, you have already been given some good advice, research, research and research some more and then come back here with some more specific questions and a proper tank

Actually, don't let them go. It's illegal to take a fish from the wild and then return it to the wild.

Just buy a much much much bigger tank.

Also, if you plan on putting rays in with the bass. Treat the bass for parasites, especially if they're wild.

yeah but its a native species that already knows how to live in the wild, its not like its a captive bred exotic species, and releasing it is better than him making them suffer in a tiny tank, while i agree him getting a MUCH larger tank would be the best option its not going to hurt anything by him releasing a native species, and from this guys post i highly doubt he will be getting a larger tank anytime soon and as absolutely no idea what he is doing

it doesn't matter its still illegal unless its in a private pond...it could really mess up the eco-system with some disease or parasite the native population isn't resistant to
