there's finquel, or clove oil. Make sure you dose it high enough, to not prolong suffering.
I'm sorry for your loss, it takes a lot to save an animal then know you have to do what's right (but hurts all the same.)
*hug*

man look here. this is a great example of a piss poor diet. it needs shrimp along with paracide x. they have to eat ocean fish for omega 3s or they will die. up its diet or release it in the ocean. if u cant do that call me at 863 484 2576 and i will come get the thing and release it my self. Its a damn shame that people buy rays and not feed them a proper diet.hey maybe add some salt to its water. Have you done that. If you brackish the water and feed it a good ocean fish diet it will recover. get some parasite treatment because it could be wormy but dont kill it. Man give it a chance first

we helped a guy whos ray had not eaten in over 4 weeks, an had a huge burn to top it off, many thought it would die, so did owner, he at one point was going to kill it as well, even had a dent in the head it was so thin. but guess what with some hard work it came back, i guess if u have used and tried every thing an have asked for help an still no luck to save it then go for it. but i dont remember reading anything about ur ray in the past 3 weeks, maybe i missed it. hey if ur going to kill it can i just come get it, id love to give it a chance, worse case it doesnt make it. some rays just dont make it, but i like to always try. sorry to hear ur in this situation. i see ur doing research an asking around on how to kill it but id like to know y the ray is thin, is it a new ray. or was it healthy at sometime then all things changed, whats ur water. is it a will caught.

my 2 cents is its hard to watch a animal in pain. but that makes me try even harder to find the problem an try a new approach. lol maybe im not humain. but after the war i dont like to take any life unless i know i have tried everything in my power to save it. even then id rather see it die under my loveing care an perfect conditions than to give it a quick death. just my 2 cents good luck

id be on here posting a thread on help me figure out whats up, and what have i not tried yet, not how do i soft kill my ray. keep the tank up at perfect water conditions an keep offering diffrent foods, an let him die in paradise an see his owner loveing him an trying all he can,

not geting on u at all. many people do this and feel its humain. all the power to them. just not for me. i have been along side with brothers who have asked for the quick way out an i use to wish i could but we would just make them comfortable as we could. hold there hand an talk about family or god. thats where i get my opinion from when it comes to these type of things. lol i know this is a stingray an not humans, so not trying to take this to that level or anything lol. just i really love my rays lol. i guess id rather spend those last painful moments in the right care an let fate an life take me when the clock runs out. this is one of those things where there is no real right answer. just wanted to make sure u did all u could witch im sure u did.

Listen. I got this ray for free. It was a rescue. Chances are it was going to die anyways because when I rescued it it was the thinest ray I have ever seen. The first 2 weeks were looking okay. The ray was swimming more but eating very little. In the last three weeks it took a turn for the worst. I had it a total of 5 weeks. Spent around $120 on worms, meds and other misc stuff becuase if it turned out well spending only $120 on a ray is not bad since I got it for free. It was a shame to because it was a 14" male marble motoro. A really nice ray. It'a a shame that I could not save it but oh well. Anyways the ray is passed now. End of story. I hope I never have to do that again...:(

in that case good on u for trying to bring him back to health. thing about keeping rays is it can be expensive at times
what do u think the problem is? have u asked around or made a thread seeking other opinions on what might be wrong. i know some people know alot but never know if someones idea will work an maybe u over looked something.
