I need to vent and some advice!

He doesn't have mange. We thought he did, but mange is treatable- we did all the mange treatments, and it didn't help at all.

I called my vet, and they are going to see what they can do.

i hope this new vet can discover something.. make sure you bring all the records so that they do not have to perform all the same tests again....and that they at least know what has been done so far... i wish you and this puppy the best.. don't give up on him yet... as long as he is alive theres still a chance it can be fixed.

Poor dog. I know you probably love him but if he is getting worse and they want him back just take it to them.....do show them you tried to to take care of him and his problems though

I won't give him back simply because he will sit in a kennel, and get other types of diseases/issues such as parvo or kennel cough. I don't want him to suffer any longer than he already has.

I know he's not happy because he's also been getting aggressive with the other dogs.

There is another option. I know at times people want to put down the dog, but at my vet the tecs have been known to keep the dog themselves. Since they have direct access to all the latest things (and can usually get the work done for near to free) most of the dogs wind up healthy again. So once you find a suitable clinic, I would offer that if any of them want to keep him, let them. They usually make a good judgment and will put down the dog if there's nothing they can do.

he is schedules for euthanasia tomorrow at 9 am. :' (

I'm so sorry, but you are doing the right thing. And I want to thank you for holding your ground against the shelter as they would just toss him in a kennel and in his condition he would have never been adopted out and he would just continue to suffer.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. if i was in the same situation I would have done the same thing as you. you have made the right decision, to return him and leave him in a kennel would have made his suffering worse. at least you tried your best to give him a good life, which is more than most people would have done.
