I need your help w/ 125 tank.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if u are thinking turtles, contact CPR_mike ... i think his brother had some cooler ones for sale ...

how about an alligator ??? ;)
or something cool like that. i dont know for sure, but i think you could keep one in a 125 for a little while at least

also, i'm biased because i just started a african cichlid tank, and im loving it.

they for sure wouldn't outgrow it by then. you can get them small for very cheap, get lots of rock cheap, and they are pretty low maintenance.
and if you dont want to take them with you, they should be pretty easy to find homes for

just a thought

What about dart frogs? A tank that size would make an awesome set up. You would be able to do so many things. YOu could have some awesome plants.

I've always wanted dart frogs. I wouldn't want a big tank like this though. Not to start out with. Thanks though. I wonder if the same plants though would work for the idea I have? I'll post it shortly.

you can try miniature monitors like ackies, or it can be a grow out for a sav or tegu......these lizards grow very attach to the owner, but ackies in my opinion are sometimes very skittish... also you can probably get away with placing fake or real plants above the bottom of the tank and fill it with water and some land like 2 feet, and have anoles, with fish.

I'm not too interested in the bigger reptiles. Would want to take it slow starting with smaller ones as of now. Thanks though. :)

are you sure that you dont want it for fish and where in ohio are you?
That ship has sailed by now. I was at one time trying to sell it but not now!:D

a spotted or chicken turtle. :D

Hmmm I've got other plans now! But thanks.

1/2 water 1/2 land.. anoles, tree frogs, newts/salamanders, guppies or similar in the water aspect. You can go as cheap or as expensive as you want on livestock, and upgrade as you wanted.

new2natives: I have sooo many fish idea's.
A ray tank with just 1 ray
EBJD tank
African Cichlid tank
Brown Knives tank
Elephant nose tank
pleco tanks with alot of smaller species
As you can tell just way too many, so I just wanted to change it up a bit. My ex-roomate had alot of different reptiles and kind of wanted me to make a tank.

Thanks everyone. I've been looking at what everyone has said and I really like the idea of having it with a community of reptiles. I work at Petsmart and we have the green anoles and Bahaman anoles. I'm thinking either one of these with a nicely decorated tank with live/fake plants. Guess I should just make a new thread.

Thanks everyone!

So my GF reminded me that the anoles of all of the reptiles we carried would get out the most. I do recall them jumping out a decent amout of all the reptiles we carried. If I were to get a screen top wouldn't it be hell when I opened it? I don't want to be chasing them repeatedly.
