my retics went like a month without eating, they were mature 6 year olds, they were still active, and they finally ate when they wanted to! once you get past the initial 2 week span they are hardy, just keep the water clean. Great job, and I still believe retics need more TLC than motoros!

Hey Miles....We are down to thinking it HAD to be bacterial...He lost skin at the base of his tail..and the whole underside of his disc... In these pics you can see where it was...everywhere there is black was where his skin was going and going and going.....and look at his happy..FEED me face..lol
And I really have no clue what fixed it...I salted the hell outta him...turned up the heat...got rid of ALL light...prazi pro'd his ass...did tons of water changes...put the old intake back on the filter and Crossed everything on my body that I could cross....I even made other people cross their fingers for him......I wish he came with a little reader board to tell me what the hell happened....

That is weird.. I wonder what those blotches are? I know you posted about 'em before.. Any tankmates maybe? Sometimes my big female retic gets whitish type spots on her, but it's usually a fish(removed) picking on her.. I wonder what meds would treat it?
