can you use windex or should i use aquarium safe to clean inside of tanks that will hold fish in a month or two? will ammonia dissipate by then or will it stay

i use Invisable Glass on my fish tanks. Works great.

I think you may have better luck if this is moved to another section. Do a search for cleaning tanks and you should have you answer.

here are pics of the tanks viniger and razer have done wonders now ther is just a pesky film that i want to get rid of

regular white vinegar is what I use as well.Easy to clean out after too, cause you just rinse till you cant smell it.

There is almost no ammonia in glass cleaner anyway. It contains .05% of a solution that is already only 28% ammonia. Still, hopefully after using Windex you'd give the tank another cleaning with water which would make the question meaningless.

Whatever you use will rinse out. Just make sure to rinse several times. Then once more.:) As long as it does'nt permeate the silicone. I've had to use CLR before.
