like everyone else here has said, a razor (be careful! lol) and vinegar really do wonders at breaking down the salt deposits and mineral deposits.. dont use any chemicals inside the tank and if you do by mistake, flush it out until you cant smell it anymore and when you rub your fingers in it the glass squeaks again..
