My ornate (i call M&M for his dotted like patterns) Is very shy/friendly my sen keeps attacking my buettikoferi (bites him as if to eat) but my buettikoferi struggles then gets away. It will go where ever my ornate it and try and snuggle with it. Where ever my ornate is is where my buettikoferi usually is. But my ornate isn't the problem with my baby sen it's my older sen. He has recently turned a little nippy. So i upped the feeding to every other day- some times consecutive days.

The biting stuff ive seen with my endlis, dels & lap... never too serious but just claiming territory... nothing serious.... until unless u dont have a injured palmas with fins missing or something like that then it should be ok... u said u feed every other day? IME feeding them twice a day keeps their belly full.. faster growth & less agression... try it and u may even see a well behaved sen...

The reason i don't feed twice a day, don't get me wrong i would love to do it and watch those bellys fill up :), is because i usually have extracurricular that i do. And my family doesn't want to touch any of it. Another reason is that my mom and dad love that i am into fish and not bad things etc... but they don't want to go and constantly be buying fish food. Especially when it takes up space in the fridge

You may try buying your fish food in bulk online. Like Hikari Sinking Carnivore or Massivore pellets. It wouldn't take space in the fridge, they wouldn't have to go anywhere to buy it, and you'd save money by buying in bulk. I think you can get 2.2 lb bags. They might gulp at the price a bit for the 2.2 lb bag. Just make sure you tell the parentals that you really appreciate them supporting your hobbies and getting your fish food that is high quality, helps you out with keeping them healthy and lowering waste in the aquarium, etc. etc. ;)

I already have some pellets, and actually i talked to my mom and she's going to take me to the store and i'm going to stock up on fish stuff, filter cartridges, food, live food (shrimp), chemicals, root tablets, etc... i am making a list tonight lol the thing is.... we have an LFS closing in our area and he has some fish i am eyeing, as well as some tanks. If you are in the houston area PM me and i can give you directions. He is a really nice guy. etc.. but any ways eva where would i buy in bulk online and could i buy frozen stuff?

sweet, you should really be able to get a super deal from the LFS that is closing. not in the houston area unfortunately although i have family there. :) i'll pm you on where i usually find good deals online. you could buy frozen online (i've never done it myself), but you usually have to buy it in serious bulk so unless you have a full size freezer chest with room to spare for fish food probably not practical for you unless you know some other friends that would like to help split the cost and quantity.

Well the LFS closed earlier than i though but it was a small store didn't really have any good food. I did however buy 5 amazon swords for 5 each. Since the LFS owner knew me so well he let me have all the large ones for 5 each. When they were supposed to be 25 each. He was a nice guy unfortunately wasn't good in the business world.
