Depending on water temperature they'll hatch in 2 - 3 days. If they are fertile you should see black eyes in the eggs around day 2. Once they hatch they will wriggle for 4 - 6 days before free swimming.

Watch the pair -- new pairs sometimes turn on each other if they have disagreements about eggs and fry. I've had all types of cichlid pairs (angels, severums, flag cichlids, etc.) mutilate each other while guarding eggs and fry. Hopefully you'll get lucky and they'll be compatible enough to prevent this, but it's always best to have a back-up plan just in case they have to be separated.

Edit: I should clarify that this aggressive behavior tends to occur when you isolate a pair to a breeding tank. Usually in a community setup there are other fish to target their aggression on, and this often strengthens the pair bond of the fish and keeps them focused on guarding the eggs/fry.
The temperature is around 81..... so far no aggresion they never even liplocked or showed any signs of fighting they are pretty mild..... is there any way of telling if the eggs are fertilized right now? And what do you feed your fry? I have flakes that i can crush thats about it.....

At 81 you should see fry in 2 - 2 1/2 days. They won't look like much at first -- they'll look like eggs with eyes and a wriggling tail. Over the course of a week or so they develop and absorb their yolk sacs and you'll notice they look more like baby fish -- long bodies, tails, big eyes.

There's really no way to tell if they're good yet. The amber color is a good sign. If all the eggs fungus and turn fuzzy and white over the next couple days, they were infertile.

I feed all my fry newly hatched brine shrimp. I realize it's a job in itself and some people don't like to go that route, but I find that they grow faster on that. It is a tedious chore though. Some people use First Bites fry food or crushed flakes. My fish never took either of those very well. You can also try decapsulated brine shrimp which don't have to be hatched, or golden pearls which a lot of people seem to have luck with. These you may have to special order so they're probably not as readily-available as crushed flakes or First Bites.

Congratulations. Crushed flakes are fine. The parents will spit out crushed food too. Figure out a way to prevent wigglers and fry from going in the filter. I use an old fish net and a cable tie around the intake. You have to clean the ^]*{% out of it daily but you get a higher survival ratio. Thats what I do. Good luck!!!

ok thanks for everything i will update once they hatch....

Fantastic! Keep us posted!

Congrats!! This is the exciting part of fish keeping. Seems no matter how many times it happens, it's still just as fun to watch. Good luck with it all and definitely keep an eye on them, while some fish instantly bond and do well together, some do bicker and fight with each other.

I had a M/F blood parrot pair once and a male convict snuck in and fertilized the eggs. Cichlid parents sure are fun to watch. :D
