The heck with heater guards..... Everyones heaters should be int THEIR sumps if they are housing rays.... Not to mention that once your rays get bigger you wont want anything in your tank that your rays can hurt themselves on and break.... just-my-2-cents..........

i hang stealths on the back of my tank vertical and my rays have never burned themselves.... the stealths do not get as hot as glass heaters.... try looking into them... if its hung in the middle of the back its hard for the rays to hang on it and burn

and like i said before im done with glass heaters in this tank, i bought a rena smartheater that im gonna use as a in-line heater on my xp3.

not everyone has a sump why dont you get a group buy togher and ask someone in the UK to ship a load over to you
i get pellets shipped over from Li all the time
im sure i chould sort something out we should be able to send say 20-50 over then you have no excuse not to have them on your heaters
everyone thinks its not going to happen to them the bang their rays get burnt
when i 1st started out with rays it happened to me so it can happen to anyone who doesnt have a gaurd on their heater no matter how safe you think you are no matter how you have your heater if they are in the tank then their is a risk
