I spawned my Ghost knife!

Well I think I was able to obtain an 8" male BGK last Sunday for the 2 BGK 8" & 10" females
So hopefully he'll be up for some stud duties in a week or two
Will start a thread, if I get a spawn in the tank below
I am not sure how I am going to save the eggs if I get any by keeping them in the same tank with one BGK. I may have to get more dividers & place my smooth 2" pebbles in the tank as well...



I know I got an algae problem but I am working on it

Hey Gianniz, how big did your knives get before you were able to sex them?

ok I know it's been a long time since post. Not much development apart from constant rotting eggs, until today!
I found 1 egg with tails! its so small it bloody went through the mess in the egg tumbler! wtf anyway i'll try get a picture (though it may be difficult as my camera broke! ugh.)

1 tadpole is still alive. From my observation, the tail and the head have appear out of the egg first. It is ok with normal aquarium lights but when dark, if you shine a light at it, it goes nuts!!!
Yesterday online thin tail was visible but today, the tails have flattened liked a blade (yeah it's not a parasite eating the egg!).
So far lights will stay off if possible, I put the fry in a saver but worried it will fall between the gaps as its so small (plus the chance of ghost knives sucking it through the gap! hmmm might move it to another tank....

omg I just saw one hatch. These ghost knife baby seem to hatch out of an egg rather then the whole egg becomes the baby. It leaves like a translucent/white grape skin behind when it hatches out!
Now I have 2 wrigglers!
