That's terrible to hear. Going from 8 to 2.
I also have 8 baby jars in my tank as of now. Strange. I hope that I will be able to keep the herd together. Are yours very aggressive, do they constantly fight and bite each other? Mine always do but they seem to be fine.

Yes mine were very aggressive. They will not stop untill the kill. They will keep fighting and you will see torn fins, then missing scales, then they get so beat up looking that if you don't do anything that you know they will die. At first they were fine, but in less than a week they were crazy. Well Good luck I hope it works out for you and keep updated on your progress.

Remember to keep some eggcrate on standby just in case you need to separate.

Hey Titanfish, I'm just going to say sorry again for going off like that.
I'm going to be a good guy for 2009.

Did any die from aggression? Mine are looking a little beat up, but I don't see any signs of death or stress. I do have extra 10s in the garage, but like I said in the other threads, I would prefer to have them together. Nothing looks better than a pack of rough, tough Jars hanging out.

No none died due to another jar killing them cause I separated them. I was too worried that if they didn't kill each other that the wounds would get infected or something like that. It just looked so bad with the tails torn up and all scales missing off both sides. You could see the white meat they were tearing each other up. I never posted any pics because I didn't want to get the " I told you so" plus I was a noobie with arowanas at the time. But you live and you learn.

Please post some pics or videos of your jardini communities. I hope it is working with you

Here are some of mine.
