I think I am getting a good deal on this

I am in the process of buying a 125 gal. tank for $150. It has no stand, hood, or lights, but I can build the top and the stand. Do you think this is a fair price for this tank?
The guy only used it for a holding tank for pirahnas. If everything goes ok, I am going to go pick it up on Friday.

sounds like a decent deal. but i see good deals all the time so i doubt i would get it. but if its the best deal youve seen in a while snag it up cuz the price aint bad.

I did negotiate, he origanally wanted $225 for the tank. Also, he has new Aquaclear 110 filters for sale for $20 each, I think I am going to snag 3 of them.

Most likely go with some kind of canister.

That is the same deal I got about a year ago, but with a wrought iron stand...built my own oak and some plexiglass for the tops and youre good to go! Congrats on the new tank! I use a Jebo canister filter and it works great! $60!

Hey, just called the guy that I am buying the tank from and my fiance' and my brother in law are going to go pick it up tomorrow. YEAH!!!!
I am thinking of just going with cinder blocks for the stand, ya know 4 on each end and then 4 down the middle for extra added support to this all glass tank. I will put a 1" piece of plywood on top and then hang a skirt around the tank to hide all the cords and such.

I can't wait to get this baby and get it set up. It's the biggest tank I have ever had.
And they will only get bigger from here.

Well, I got the tank, It's a beauty. He also gave me 3 - 5 gallon buckets of sand for free.
I am soooo excited. I can't wait to get this baby up and running. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks it will be up.

Sounds great, if your happy then it's a good deal. I just got me a 120 gallon with stand and glass tops for $200. Only problem is I wanted oak and it is a black stand. So I'm kind of happy so it's kind of a good deal.
