I think I goofed on my overflow

I still reckon it would have been fine with a 3/4 outflow under pressure...

Yeah, probably. But in the back of my head it would have been nagging me. Considering it was literally a 5 minute fix, I couldn't justify not doing it.

Now, I think I am going to build another one and have dual overflows.

I do have another question though. I put a 90 degree connector on the drain pipe in the tank. I did this to hopefully miminize blockage of the pipe, and to also control the flow of the tank. Will this cause any problems? It doesn't seem to but I thought I would check. I will probably drill a hole or two in the top and slightly above the water line in back in case for some reason it does get clogged. I didn't glue this part on so it is easily removable.

I don't understand what that is. A picture paints a thousand words...

Well you need a surface hole to stop your overflow from becoming a syphon. To reduce the chance of blockage you can double up on the inlets.

Simply, I took a 90 degree elbow (the same type used throughout the overflow) and placed one on top of the pipe that is in the tank that the water drains into

I'll work on a pic

Ahhh Ok, connector...elbow, fair enough. I thought it was something fancy.

Do you have a strainer or something on the inlet to stop the fish from going through?

Not yet, but I will before the tank is actually setup and operational.
