I moved the pacu away from my redtail into his own tank. I'm going to treat him with salt and then treat my catfish with some kind of ick medicine
they came with the fish I adopted lol. Heat up with no salt? I'm to nervous to do salt on my ccats. Im jjust going tovget rid ickIme those test strips do not work!! Invest 30$ into the actual drops and test tube ones. Crank the heat up to 86+ and the ick will be gone in a matter of days.

I keep getting mixed opinons on Catfish. Someone said don't use salt on any catfish due to them being scaleless. I honeslty don't think my Bullhead will mind it. I'm just nervous about my redtail. Plus he's still a babyJust Be VERY careful using meds on the catfish. They are scaleless fish and the meds will burn them badly. My Lima almost died when I treated for ICK w meds it burned a hole in his snout and burned off his whiskers. Heat and salt have always worked best for me

I can tell you don't really keep up with your water changes
there's a bad case of ick in that tank, I'd be doing 2x a day water changes just bcuz of that...to dump the free-floating stage. it also boosts the fish to fight disease.I just put them in there. There's no need to.
I tested for ammonia the other day I used my last strip. It wasnt to high. I think the pleco may have spiked my ammonia but like iI said he's gone now. And the pacu. Is in his own tank. The catfish Arnt showing signs but I like to treat them anyway.there's a bad case of ick in that tank, I'd be doing 2x a day water changes just bcuz of that...to dump the free-floating stage. it also boosts the fish to fight disease.
that test doesn't even include ammonia but it is in there, just going by the other results.
Yeah I know that. My Catfish have a 30-60 aquatech filter and a bubbler should be enough for 2 fish in a 20 gallon.we all forgot to say, always put in a fine airstone/bubbler during high temps.
also good with meds and sick fish in general.
