thanks man for the info!

No prob. If you follow what I wrote, you shouldn't have any problems. There are a few different ways to go about hatching eggs, but I know for a fact that this way will work. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Question, is it ok for me to keep my female leo without a male conspesific:confused: (have been trying to find one but beleave it or not I havent been able to, and yes this is how poor most Portuguese pet shops are in terms of herps:grinno:) I ask this because I know female lizards of certain species(mainly chams but also iguanas, agamas, etc) can have health problems relatade to egg laying if they havent mated (or they can have health probs because they mated but that´s a diferent story;)). Will my lonely female ovulate and lay non fertile eggs? Or she has to mate in order to produce them? Has anyone kept a female isolated for a long time? I have kept geckos before but never had a single animal of any species, most in pairs:D

Well I don't know a ton about leos but I haven't heard of females ovulating or laying non fertile eggs. So I think your female alone should be just fine:D

My female started laying before she had a mate, but the eggs just shriveled up. She should be fine though, just give her some extra calcium and fat while shes producing and laying eggs.

BTW, it's also very easy to see if a female is producing eggs. First she obviously starts to get fatter and then there will be one or two white ovals that can be seen through the underside of her belly.
