my wife just feeding my daughter rested a bottle of baby formula on top of the fish tank fell into my tank . the cap was loose and it spilled into my tank , i just told her yesterday my tank is not a buffett table , i have a 180 gallon fresh water , i right away started a water change . the fish dont seem to have any ill effects yet and it was such a small amount into such a large tank and yet its safe to give to a new born . any comments ? yes i am very worroed :nilly:

Forget it....the bacteria will love it. On the other hand, you can get Salmonella or Serratia infections from aquarium water so I would wash the bottle and nipple scrupulously.

baby formula is mostly nutrients, vitamins and stuff of that nature. i wouldent see there being much of a problem IMO. but im sure someone MUCH smarter than myself will chime in.

apparently the bottle did not fall into the tank just the formula seeped in waters a little cloudy but again everybody seems ok right now with those two bacteria diseases no wonder my wife hates touching the fish water , by the way she feels real bad i have 5 large clown loaches 2 angels 2 geos i green sev several danios large pleco and about 5 chinease algae eaters

Next thing you know......your fish will be craving ice cream! :D
