I think I "lost" a fish, help?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the marbled I did get on Friday, but he never showed any typical signs of distress that Ive seen before. The koi about two weeks ago. Th "strange" behavior that I said a little something about just started yesterday. I'm hesitant to get new angels, Ive had them for a long time before but in general to me they just arent easy fish. And since I have no idea what happened to these ones, just thinking against it.

if you were really into fish upgrade to a 30 gallon and get some angels or something. alot less can go wrong with a bigger tank. i would say the koi one died and somehow lodged himself up under some decor and pocking and prodding would have done nothing.

yeah I know Ive had a larger tank before but I had to get rid of it when I went out of state for college two years ago, and currently I cant get a larger tank until my mom buys a house sometime this year, lack of space and living in a pretty unstable 3rd floor apartment.

they also weren't going to be in there when they got bigger, i know its to small in the long run for them. but its not really an issue anymore since i no longer have them.

UPDATE :) all fish were found....dead..:( the koi one was definitely stuck somewhere in the tank I dont even know. I just found him floating in the front of the tank in some plant decoration.

:( that sucks...at least you weren't still wondering forever what happened. And now you got tank space for new fish :)

this happened to me before but I will never know how they got lost begining out breeding i had a 30gal. long and had guppies and mollies and i hadga pair of gold dust mollies and I beleive they both disapeared so did some of my guppies(no cover whats so ever just a 20 inch reptile light with plastsic guard on it don't ask)Now I haave a 75gal. and my guppeis disapeared to and not to long ago I found 1 guppy fry very strange since the guppies were long gone!@ and I thought I lost 1 of my clown loaches but it was stuck in a rock formation(i got it unstuck I had to to shake it but hes doing good)

That sucks. At least you're not wondering what happened anymore...though quite strange they were so well hidden and then right out in the open. I would definitely give the tank a good cleaning. Then start fresh!
