Is the aqueon pro just a remake of the old stealth heaters from a few years ago that were blowing up busting aquariums, starting fires, and nuking fish?
I remember a major recall where that company was buying them back full price no questions asked.
I believe these heaters use similar design and heating elements.

A lot of your store bought heaters have lifetime warranties. Just save the box and receipt. They're all hit/miss. Just never run them dry and try to keep the dial end out of the water.

Ive had great results with the regular aqueon heaters. Yager not so much. Only reason why they are still in my tanks is because eheim keeps replacing them...i even have some cheap marina heaters that vastly outlasted the yagers

If you were looking on ebay alot of times they will mark a price up super high to keep people from buying it but still keep the auction up as a placeholder so they don't have to re-list a new auction. When stock gets refilled they adjust the price back to normal.
