I think I want a snake....

I think I forgot to bring this up.

Boa constrictors are SLOOOOOOOOOOOW. Like really really slow growing. It take them 2-3 years to get to be around 4 feet. Now it take about 5 years to maximzie their growth span. As it grow, you get better handling experience and you hardly notice that you got a big boa when the time come.

Although look into others! There are soo many boids out there.

yeah thats the great thing about getting babies.. you can grow with it, not much chance of that happening for me though at a massive 5'3 LMAO. Unless of course you got for a burmese. Or anaconda. I like blood pythons myself.

The giants have too much of a growth spurt for me to deal with really...

lovely snakes IMO (looks) and for the burm temperment (never experienced anacondas but I heard they were bad) but they just get to big and as every animal is unpredictable... I wouldn't wanna potentially risk my life in my own home every day LOL.

Anacondas arent that bad from what I hear. Alot if people I have talked to have Green anacondas if that matters... They say it acts just like a burm for the most part. I've been thinking about getting a burm someday, and moving onto keeping a retic or two, and possibly a green anaconda after I've kept burms and retics for a while. I will most likely get a burm though, and I know for sure I will be getting a retic. But for now, Boas are my main focus. Also, Burms and Retics have some HUGE turds. Its like having a horse in an 8'x3'.

Gotta sell alot of boa babies just to pay for burm and retic food.

Why sell a lot of boa babies? Meat rabbits are cheaaaaaaaap.

This may sound odd, but I was thinking I could have an outdoor rabbit hutch and breed rabbits, and use the retic and burm turds as fertilizer for a vegetable garden to feed the rabbits.

I really want to get into breeding boas though, so many beautiful morphs out there. I'm boa crazed!

Also... I love how ads on craigslist for free rabbits say "NOT FOR FEEDING TO SNAKES" when they know damn well thats whats probably going to happen to them.

One guy I know gets just about all of his feeder rabbits for free off of Craigslist.

I am not into morphs really. Morphs are fun, but they are not as awarding as keeping locales pure. The demands for morphs will always change, but the demands for locales will never cease to go away.

Yeah, I love pure locales, but damn! I have seen some awesome looking silverback bolivians, jungles, salmons, anerys, snows, etc. Ofcourse I'll hae a few pure RTB's to keep rare locals running strong, as you said, there will always be a market for pure BCI's and pure BCC's. But technically, all morphs are just wild-phase with a little help. ;)

I'd use the rabbit turd as fertilizer not python turd
