Im going to say what is my mind. Some might get mad, some might not. So Im just going to say it. I think all of you who say, gee what are stocking Ideas for my tank. I think that is extremely rediculous and moronic. There has been so many "what to stock my tank with" threads its not even a little bit funny. Its actually annoying. It really doesnt matter what someone ELSE wants YOU to put in YOUR tank. You have to sit down and look at the tank every day, so in reality YOU are the one who makes the decision! YOU YOU AND ONLY YOU! Why would you ask anyway. The only answer your going to get is. Oh hey what size tank? 10g? Throw a dat in there. Oh buddy what size tank do you have? 300g? Get a dat and you wont be sorry. I think it is annoying how you guys ask what to put in your tank. I wanted to vent so this is what I wrote. This isnt directed at anyone so I didnt mean to hurt your feelings. Tell me what you guys think! :nilly: :irked:

Calm down brother, calm down. LOL I agree, it is ridiculous to ask what to put in a tank, it's YOUR tank. Get what you want. If you don't know what you can put in the particular size tank you have, search MFK for a species you are interested in.

Exactly! I know I did get a little upset. lol. Its good to know I have someone who agrees with me.

:chillpill:
First off I agree its too broad a question and usually shows a person doesnt know what they are doing.
But...here are alot of types of fish out there so fishing for ideas is something people will do, especially in online forums.Sometimes theyll read a fish name that they never heard of before, and spark some interest.

If those types of threads upset you or you find them to be stupid/boring just skip them. Its not worth getting worked up over and there will always be plenty of other people willing to chat about it.

True too.

If I didn't ask questions of that nature I wouldn't have half of the stuff that I do. It's a good question. Maybe someone has an idea that the person asking never thought of.................which is why they ask in the first place. It's always good to get a second opinion. Someone else might have an idea that YOU like...

thats how i see it too. if im putting together a small community tank i like to see what people out there are thinking.

when it comes to my monsters...i am the only one who decides on that. simpley because i know what i like.

so i guess if you are asking just to gather some ideas and then choose on your own, it is ok. if you are asking and then buying everything they name....you are an idiot.;)

^ agreed ^

You also have to consider that MFK is made up of people at many various levels of fish keeping. Often they just read and often never post.

We were all noobs at one time and we all still have something to learn...

exactly!

its also a good idea to get advice on wheher or not your setup you want could work!

for example someone asks
hey i just bought an 80 gallon tank and i was wondering if i could put a RED TAIL CAT in it for life

or what not!

I too agree; yes it is ridiculous but I dont see anything wrong with it. it is simply some1 asking for a few suggestions. Some people want to get the opinion of other and see what combinations of fishes some would keep.

This is how I see it; let say you gonna buy a car you kinda undecided between 2 or 3 different vehicles I know you've asked some one which he or she would choose; why do that if it's you whose going to be driving the car right?? It all just an opinion thing..
