Hi guys, I have a Texas cichlid that is pushing 2 inches that seems to be showing signs of Fish Tuberculosis. He is currently in a 55 gallon tank with two 1.5 inch breidohri's. There is no aggression in this tank so far. The temp is kept between 75-80 degrees. I do a 70% water change and deep clean followed by a 20% water change a few days after every week. The water conditions are perfect, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrates and 0 nitrites. I feed them Omega One Super Color Flakes, spirulina flakes, freeze dried Blood worms, and NLS small sinking pellets. I alternate between the color flakes and the spirulina flakes with a pinch of dried blood worms every other day. I feed the NLS pellets once a week because they don't seem to care so much for them.
For filtration I have a emperor 400 that does the job pretty well. I also have 3 mystery snails and a pleco that help keep the tank in nice shape.
I purchased the Texas about one month ago that had a slight shrunken stomach. I thought it was stress or poor diet that was causing this that would be solved once in a larger tank and well cared for. It still has the shrunken stomach and doesn't have the same appetite as the other two fish. He doesn't eat as much flake food but will eat more blood worms. He does seem a bit stressed but is really active. I am not sure what to do because i do not want my other two fish to contract this as well.
If it is Fish does have TB what are my options? I am sorry but i do not have a pic on hand.
