Seriously addicted here......I also get attached to my guys too. Really sucks when one of them goes to the fish tank in the sky.

Just had a sp.44 pass away after 8yrs....I miss that guy!

Yep, I'm addicted!

I think most the members here are addicted to the point they may need to change the forum name to: MFKA "Monster Fish Keepers Anonymous"...

But i know i got bit by the bug and haven't looked back... oh, and don't worry, your girlfriend may still come around, I know mine did once i got her hooked on puffers :naughty:

IM NOT GOING TO LIE ANYMORE!!!

Guys I have a serious ADDICTION.....
ITS FISH KEEPING!!!!

I don't know what to do about it...it just keeps growing and growing and growing...at this rate Im going to need the ocean in my house in a year. I've always wanted to keep fish but never had the time or the means. Now that I do it's taking over. I started fish keeping several months ago, started with a 10 gallon, no way thats even close to big enough, then it was a 30 gallon, still not big enough...now its a 90 gallon, for me its a MONSTER. I know some guys got the 50,000 gallon and whatever but lets be serious, Im in University so my tank is a MONSTER.
My girlfriend is tired of talking to me because I always have something to say or an idea about the new tank. I want to go to the LFS every other day just to see if there is something cool I have to get. I feel like Will Ferrel in Old School when he's in Olive Garden talking about girls underwear. How he doesn't want to miss out on something cool he's never seen before.
My girlfriend doesn't get it and has just given up on me with the fish.

IS ANYONE ELSE ADDICTED??? Please let me know I'm not alone!

P.S. I plan on posting some pics soon as I need help with a few ID's

yes i too am addicted and i too just keep wanting more!! hahaha :headbang2

I got a 200g a 3x2x2 a 3x18x18 and a lil nano tank. I buy fish everyweeeeeek! I just bought 2 Jungle perch tonight that cost me over 60 bucks, i got 2 last week (I have 8). I have also been collecting L numbers - you know how expensive that can be. I have probably spent 2k+ on fish in the last 2 years! Its very hard cause i work in an aquarium and discounts! I want to get 2x Pimelodus Ornatus but over her they cost over 100 bux, and im trying to save for a car and selling my driftwood and plants and otehr stuff to get money for a car, but i keep buying fish!

I am thinking of cutting back but i dont want to sell the fish! Most of em you can get cause there rare, but i need money!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHH.

:'( :'(

haha I think most everyone on here is addicted. I'm even worse though, I'm a horse back rider too. I picked too insanely expensive hobies to get addicted to. I started with a 10gallon last spring. Now I have two 30's and a 120 sitting in the living room lol

Started with a 10 2 years ago....now I have 3 10's, 14, 29, 55, 75.

Yep, the guys at the lfs were right, you always end up wanting a bigger tank...

Fortunately my girlfriend loves fish as well :) She takes responsibility for raising feeder....er...convict fry in her dorm in a 29.

Yep, addicted as well! I just started a year and a half ago with a 10 gal. with a betta and some plants.

Now I have a 20, 55, 120, and 240 (haven't set up the 240 yet). I'm planning on slowing down though cause I spent way too much money as it is!

I started with a bowl, then moved to a 20 and now a 55... and a ton more larger tanks like... all those hosting salties :)

I started with a 29 8 years ago, now have that same 29 plus a 100g. There are so many kinds of fish that i have kept in that 100g and that makes me want more tanks.
I would actually like:
300g polypterus tank
300g geophagus tank
100g planted tank
1300g catfish pond
100g solo midas
200g tanganyika
200g malawi
and so on...

i started about 2 years ago with a 20g. now i have 7 tanks and a 20g is the smallest. my est advice to keeping it small is to make sure to pic ur tanks wisely. i have two 75g tanks dedicated to big cichlids that dont like each other and another to a lobster. i love having the tanks but would rather have more species in one tank that one big mean fish. it helps u keepmore species but less tanks if u plan ahead
