I think my cons r breeding

The purpose of lip locking is to test eachothers strength. If either thinks they aren't worthy of parenting fry they wont breed. It is unlikely this will happen though as usually by the lip locking stage the females are becoming gravid and with them being cons they would sooner breed than not.

So they were lip locking and showing a lot of color. And now they just stopped I looked all around the tank and nothing. So can they do this
 
theyll start slapping bodies and looking for a proper spot to lay their eggs. when they swim past each other they will do a quick gill flare recognizing each other and the female will display her bright colors. when she starts hanging around 1 particular spot youll know shes found her spot
