i have two younger oscars i had since they were 2 inches there doing fine and red pacu who grew real fast, hes prolly 8 inches or so a common pleco and a small jack dempsey

but my main big oscar is just laying on his side totally flat and he looks like he is breathing hard, he has been like this for a week iv been doing water changes and raised the temp on the tank a little, its always between 75-80 anyways but he hasnt lost any color at all, im wondering if the pacu is stressing him out, cuz he got so big fast although i had hime for almost 2 months now? dunno any ideas to help me out?

i didnt get him when he was small , the LFS had him and he had HITH i got him 4 free and i took care of him and he healed up, iv had him since august last year

suonds like he's just sulking. pretty normal for oscars to do when they are upset. Might be because of the water changes, might be something else. I have never had an oscar be stressed by another fish before, much less a pacu. Good luck :)

sounds to be sulking, leave the tank how it i for a week or so. feed as normal turn the lights off. keep the room quiet and he should be fine.

I agree with everyone i was in the same psotion as you had my oscar for 3 weeks then out of no where he was hiding behind the rocks looking at me like leave me alone he sulked for 3 days but yer he should be fine.

How big is the tank? You will probably need to get rid of the pacu, since they can get 2 feet or more.
