Only read part of the first book, was too dry for my tastes. And I don't watch the show because I don't get HBO. But I'm curious to see how many people here who watch the show have read the books.
I think I have to change my comments on the readability of the book.....The book is not hard to read due to dialogue but the show is.Sometimes I don't know what was said after certain conversations have taken place. The book's problem to me is that it seems to start off on the dry side but I am hacking through it.
i have read all the books, i heard the third book is being divided into 2 seasons, and i really like them i found them really interesting. waiting on the 6th one now

Just rewatched a few episode. I've heard from a few people that they didn't like the last episode.....that's because it's the beginning of book 3. instead of leaving you on a cliff hanger, they pretty much gave you a sneak peek gift wrapped as one last episode. I'd have ended the show after the battle scene
