Haha, ok so check this out.... When My 180 gal out in my garage was set up i noticed that the water was always a little slant in the water level, meaning it is not even at all. I thought no big deal and dumped my fishies in.

Within days my LMB and aro and barbs all began swimming slanted and it was kinda funny and i was wondering wtf was going on but i thought prollu just the water being slanted.

Whats funny is since then my LMB unfortunatly met his untimely demise and ran into the wall while chasing a feeder. So i was able to put my smaller Pbass that i was waiting to grow so my LMB wouldnt eat him..... but w/ him out of the picture there he went

of course couple days later my pbass has a case of the slanty swim. lol
is this in fact because of my uneven ground or is it something else?

my 180G water level is a bit slanted also, but the fish are swimming straight.

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe your floor is slanted thus you're slanted, and not the fish.

 That's actually about the only thing I can think of that makes a little bit of sense

My tanks are always a little uneven but not horribly bad and fish don't swim irregular..

use a level and see if it is the floor..if it is not the floor then it is either your cabinet /stand... or the tank...

Are your lights on straight? Or are there lights that are close to the tank that is slanted?

Often times when people tan thier fish they place their lights off center on the side of the tank and the fish use the lights as a reference then they end up swimming off center.

That's a possibility. Never thought of that. Good job.

I have heard that if direct sun light hits the glass or acrilic, for some reason fish would swim slanty like, tried it with a bunch of rosie red feeders. Put them out side in 10 gallon cooler, sure enough they were swimming slanty within minutes!!!
