Hello; I do not resent the fact that some of the resources of my current state of residence, Tennessee, are used to feed and care for children that already exist.
I do resent the fact that there seems to be no way to put a stop to people having children that they cannot afford to/or will not take care of. I have had small glimpses into the lives of such children during the years that i taught in the public schools. The lack of forethought and consideration for these children does not end with irresponsible procreation. My observations of the circumstances these children endure has been disturbing. The parenting and care some have recieved has been far from satisfactory. That the state and federal goverments send money to these parents does not mean that the children recieve the full measure of those funds. For some reason our society here will not place any real restrictions on these irresponsible parents, but will allow the conditions of the children to endure.
I do not resent those parents who had children when they were doing well and later had financial hard times come upon them. That they may now need help is what decent societies do for worthy people.
I do resent those that already have children they cannot take care of and continue to have even more. The methods of prevention of unwanted pregancy is well known.
