In the summer at the lake, the temp can be in the 100s, and up to 114+. Our cat, who is always very warm, becomes overheated and just sleeps in her carrier. She either has to be dunked in the water or made to swim to cool off. She immediately becomes active again, walking around the boat, taking an interest in the things around her, and eating.

I usually take her in the water and let her swim back to the boat. She needs helping getting up onto the swim deck. She is a very good swimmer and will get off her board and swim back to the boat. She only gets put in the water when she is overheated.

Hit It!

Last summer(2006) while I was cleaning one of my tanks, Slash decided to jump in...

I was vacationing in the carribean (St John, USVI) a few years back and the house we rented had a cat that lived there...

We were getting ready to get in the hot tub one night and the cat, seeing that the cover was off, jumped in immediately, swam around a little, then ran off like nothing happened. One of the most random moments of my life..
