I have been researching asian arowanas for a while now and was even thinking of participating in a group order to buy one through the net.

After my sump busting last night, I thought that I would pay a visit to the big city and check canister filters and what did I find but a 8" high back RTG. It looked so nice that I couldn't resist and $1130 later, it was mine!

The arowana will be soon replacing a Jardini in my 320 g tank as it will be more peacefull with the 2 rays and tiger dat. The Jardini will eventually have its own tank (120 g) to himself after the reef tank contents are transfered to the new 200 g that is coming soon (well, it's a used tank, new to me).

Man, this hobby is addictive...

the jar will be much happier in the 200g rather than the 120
and a few pics of the new aro would make this thread much better

Was expecting some pics! C'mon, we're waiting!

you hate us don't you talk about a nice aro and no vids or pics i'm asamed.... :banhim::banhim::banhim:

wow we need pictures now!!!!

The arowana is waiting at the fish store while the store owner gets the 200g ready for me. He wants to build a bigger tank for himself and should take 2-3 weeks to get it done. I hope he takes good care of my fish.

I know that the 200 would be a better size for the Jardini but I wanted to upgrade the reef tank as well. The 120g is 5' x 2' x 20"h. I know that it's a little too short and narrow but it should do for a while at least (he's only 8" right now). He will be the only one in the tank, so the bioload should be manageable. I probably should have just traded him in and sold the 120 but Jardini's look so cool and I could't let him go. Darn addictive hobby...

What happens if something goes wrong at the fish store? Is there a guarantee even though you paid for it?

Best of luck...I hope everything works out.
