dude. Im going to most likely be the only nice person you hear from. However, I have to kindly tell you, that grasping it and holding it upside down is most likely not making your gecko say" this is cool, I might enjoy this". Ive got mixed emotions watching this, Ive kept reptiles for over 15 years bud and I just think that holding it upright for a few minutes a day is plenty. So it knows you'll let it go again. They hide for a living, taking them everywhere is stressful tame or not. A gecko slowly moves about getting used to whats around it before it takes the plunge, they focus different than us and the constant changes in sound and temperature along with the moving around, it can just be too much for them. Maybe you can buy a bird to chill on your shoulder and leave the gecko for short handling sessions if it seems ok with it.

I know some others are going to smash you soon with this, all I can ask is guys, please keep it productive and educational.

I am going to have to agree with Jason. Tokays CAN be tamed but I have only seen it happen as babies. I doubt you will get anywhere with this method and with a wild caught one. Even with tame ones, you should not take them out often. I Just don't think that Geckos are good handling pets but that they are more like fish- great display animals but they wont want to cuddle with you.

Good luck. If you choose to continue to do this then be careful of stress, it can be a killer.

100% agreed, let your animal come to you, dont impose yourself to the lizard. By the end of your "handling" period your gecko will fear you most then before you started.
