I am going to have to agree with Jason. Tokays CAN be tamed but I have only seen it happen as babies. I doubt you will get anywhere with this method and with a wild caught one. Even with tame ones, you should not take them out often. I Just don't think that Geckos are good handling pets but that they are more like fish- great display animals but they wont want to cuddle with you.

Good luck. If you choose to continue to do this then be careful of stress, it can be a killer.

Only lizards that are currently considered venomous are monitor species, the mexican beaded lizard and the gila monster.

tokay geckos aren't venomous, they just have really big teeth and strong jaw muscles. they definitely cannot kill anyone.
